FANtastic! You're truly wonderful!
I like Agapanthus - have that one on my list. I really like that Iris Mesa Pearl - Skylark's Song - how beautiful!
You're great! Thanks so much for taking time to do this, Barbara!

I am happy to help, glad you liked a couple of them!
Just in case you want to keep looking, I did do a series of articles on blue flowers -- blue flowered annuals, perennials, bulbs, natives, blue flowers for shade, blue flowers for fall color, vines, etc. But, I think it may be too general for this purpose -- great for making a list to check out for the garden and see what the plant store or catalog has to offer, but not too many specific cultivar names.
Let alone pretty names suited to a kitty cat! LOL

Thank ya ma'am! ![]()
I have just a couple of blue flowers in the yard - Veronica, the speedwell sunny blue border, I think it's called. And of course Black & Blue Salvia for the hummers.
Lots of things are dieing out because of this drought we're having in Tennessee, so I'm planning rearranging for next spring. I've got a terrace garden off the back deck, and it's divided into 4x6' sections. I'm thinking instead of mixing all my colors, to maybe make each section its own color. All of it needs ammending anyway!
But for now, we're just doing rain dances and hoping the garden can make it through another couple weeks of heat until it starts to cool down and rain again

Yah drought is bad news. The plants will still be stressed from it next year, too, as a carryover. Let's see, there's an article I wrote on Red White and Blue Flowers ... and a series on White Flowers or Moon Gardens.
I once did a perennial planting in color bands and it is very hard to do well, takes some experimenting if you want good combinations all season long. Meaning for foliage and form as well as flowers. And which colors to put in what sequence. I decided I personally prefer a less rigid formula for color mixing -- too disciplined for me, the ultimate impulse shopper. LOL
So where's my updated kitty picture???

AAaawwwwww Banded colors! Now that would be spectacular! But probably too structured for me, too. LOTS of what I have was given to me when my hubby was a landscaping foreman. Whatever he dug out and replaced for someone ended up in my yard. So I put stuff in wherever I had room or an empty spot.
It seems that everything I have inherited, though, is a spring / very early summer bloomer. I have some scattered stuff that blooms later, and I have a sedum Autumn Joy LOL But I need lots of late summer blooming plants - assuming there ARE some ![]()
