I hear ya! Cramer's Buffet must be just down the block from "Barb's Deli, Now Open" ... the first winter we lived in Pennsylvania the deer came in herds of 20. Not much left after that. Made it a little frustrating until we put up a big tall fence. Even then they would get through once in a while.

One horrible icy and snowy and miserable winter they were so hungry they ate daffodils, the universally cited "flower deer will NOT eat" ... they ate yew in vast quantities, too, also poisonous, and devoured all juniper branches within reach in garden, woods and fields.

Not to mention being worried about Lyme's disease.... gardening with deer is not restful, not one little bit, no.
