» Barbara Nicholson Bell - I'd forgotten my amaryllis!

Your article reminded me that it was lying on its side in the back storage room, and when I checked on it, indeed there was new growth. So I've followed your instructions and am looking forward to seeing it rebloom this Christmas!

It does help to remember to bring it out so it can start to grow vigorously again. (laughing) I hope it grew lots and lots of foliage last summer so it blooms really well for you.

In response to Restart amaryllis posted by Cottage_Garden:

For detailed information on how to keep your amaryllis and get it to bloom again or reblooom, see my recent article on How to Grow and Bloom Amaryllis. It also includes links to an article on planting your first amaryllis and to one on special amaryllis growing tips.

Good luck with your amaryllis everybody!
